Job summary

Qualifications include NBRC RRT, state licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and NRP as applicable. Two years of acute care experience is preferred; benefits and shift differentials apply.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate is upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Assess, plan, implement, and document care with attention to patient age and population needs.
• May be assigned as Lead RCP, supervising the section or department during shifts.
