Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Transfer Coordinator to join our Transfer Center in Temple, TX. This onsite role leverages your critical care background in ED, ICU, or PACU to coordinate patient transfers across the health system, communicating with referring physicians, nurses, and hospitals to place patients safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, at least three years of relevant experience, and a strong ability to manage

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing (RN) is required.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience as an RN.
• Valid RN license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient transfers across the Baylor system with physicians, nurses, hospitals, and departments.
• Review clinical information to support appropriate patient placement.
• Apply nursing knowledge and clinical judgment to coordinate transfers.
• Follow laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and policies.
• Provide exceptional service to referring physicians, healthcare organizations, patients, families, and internal teams.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders throughout the transfer process.
• Ensure transfer documentation is accurate and compliant.
• Manage multiple transfer requests in a fast-paced environment.
