Methodist Health System seeks an experienced ECMO specialist to join the team at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. The role involves developing treatment plans, coordinating with ECMO physicians, and providing education to patients and families as part of the ECMO program.

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree, complete ECMO training, and maintain active RN or RRT/CCP licensure with BLS and ACLS. A minimum of two years in critical care is required.

Qualifications

• The candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and ECMO training or equivalent education in Extracorporeal Circulation.
• Licensure required: RN (TX BON) or RRT/CCP with current BLS and ACLS.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement ECMO treatment plans in collaboration with ECMO physicians and care team.
• Assess, plan, execute, and educate patient and family regarding ECMO therapy.
• Communicate treatment adjustments and care priorities across shifts.

Job Purpose

The ECMO specialist participates in the development of a treatment plan, involving assessment, planning, implementation, and education. Communicates with the ECMO physician and other members of the healthcare team to interpret, adjust and complete treatment specific to the ECMO patient care plan.

Job Requirements

• Education:Bachelor‘s degreeCompletion of a designated ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation.Licenses and/or Certifications:
• Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas Board of NursingOr RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist License andCurrent NBRC - National Board of Respiratory Care * Or CCP - Certified Perfusion License And
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart AssociationAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart AssociationWork Experience:
