Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Step-Down Unit (SDU) in Mishawaka, IN on a 12-hour day shift. The role features up to an $8,700 sign-on bonus and a path to growth within a multidisciplinary team focused on safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• RN Indiana License; CPR certification on hire or within 60 days.
• One year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Care for higher-acuity patients including cardiac drips, telemetry, and post-op recovery.
• Monitor, assess, and respond to patient conditions in real-time.
• Collaborate with providers, therapists, pharmacists, and nurses to deliver coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Document assessments, medications, and interventions in the EHR.
