Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice where RN provides services.
• Knowledge of EHR systems and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient and family engagement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans with the care team, and promotes safety.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Maintains timely EHR documentation and supports interdisciplinary collaboration.
• May float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.
• Adheres to age-specific patient care needs and growth/development considerations.
