Job summary

The Beth Israel Lahey Health system is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the OR East PACU in Boston. This full-time role (36 hours) shifts between 12a and 12p across three PACUs and two holding areas, providing high-acuity post-anesthesia care and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of ICU or critical care experience, a nursing degree from an accredited program, and strong communication and teamwork skills to support timely, safe patient handoffs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes nursing judgments.
• Coordinates care and directs assistive personnel for safe, efficient care.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and team members.
• Maintains mandatory education requirements and participates in quality activities.
• Supports patient handoffs and care coordination in a multi-PACU environment.
• Assists with orientation and professional development as needed.
