Job summary

Tennessee Donor Services seeks an Organ Recovery Coordinator (RN) to lead organ donation activities in the Nashville area. Using critical care skills, you will assess donor suitability, coordinate organ placement, and assist in surgical recovery with the clinical team.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a critical care setting, hold an RN license, and can multitask with strong teamwork and communication. A valid driver's license and ability to pass hospital credentialing are required.

Qualifications

• Two plus years prior experience in a critical care setting.
• RN license and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and multitask.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consultation with medical staff.
• Coordinates organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
• Coordinates and assists in the surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management – including logistics such as arranging transportation, ensuring surgical packaging, and preparing lab specimens for shipment.
• Provides support to donor families and conducts medical/social history interviews.
• Updates donor information into electronic medical record.
• Other duties as assigned.
