Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital’s MICU seeks an experienced RN to provide dedicated critical care to acutely ill adults. You will coordinate nursing care, perform assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless admission to discharge planning.

Requirements include PA RN licensure (or eNLC), CPR certification, and necessary background clearances. This role involves rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays per policy within a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• PA RN licensure required or eligible via eNLC
• CPR certification required
• Act 34/33/73 background clearances required

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment and care planning for ICU patients.
• Delivers safe, high-quality care per regulatory requirements.
• Directs and manages patient care delivery by the team.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team for plan of care from admission to discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education as appropriate
