Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network invites nursing students and registered nurses to join its Critical Care Internship/Fellowship across multiple campuses.

The full-time, competency-based program is tailored to each learner and leads to practice in ICU, MICU, or Cardiac units after successful completion. An Education Team provides Bridging the Preparation to Practice Gap, supervised hands‑on trainings, seminars, simulations and clinical observations, with dedicated preceptorship and leadership

Qualifications

• Nursing student eligible to sit for NCLEX and obtain licensure before start of internship.
• GPA of at least 3.2 at application time or confirmed Senior Practicum in ICU.
• Experienced RN with no prior Critical Care experience is noted as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to critically ill patients through the nursing process and documentation.
• Coordinates with ancillary and patient-team staff to maintain professional nursing standards.
• Maintains confidentiality of all materials within the network and proper information release.
• Demonstrates the Network's Service Excellence Standards in interactions with customers (internal and external).
• Adheres to attendance and dress code policies of the Network and department.
• Demonstrates competency in adult patient care across lifespan in critical care settings.
