Job summary

ScionHealth’s Kindred Hospital Houston Northwest and Acute Rehabilitation Unit is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care to critically ill adults. You will use the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation) and collaborate with physicians, therapists and family members to achieve positive outcomes in a high-acuity LTACH/ARU setting.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, administering medications, ensuring documentation in the EMR,

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Active RN license in Texas or compact state.
• ACLS/BCLS certification as required by hospital policy.
• Minimum 1 year of critical care experience preferred.
• Fluent in English, strong communication with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care using the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation).
• Supervise nursing care provided by other caregivers.
• Develop and coordinate the plan of nursing care with patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Document patient care in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Administer medications with the seven rights and monitor for adverse effects.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
• Respond to emergencies and implement ACLS protocols when needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and ensure confidentiality.
