Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital in Bluffton, SC is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within the department, in collaboration with the care team. The RN provides individualized care using established nursing models and advocates for patients and families.

The role involves performing procedures, teaching patients and families about conditions and treatments, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal outcomes

Qualifications

• RN licensure with applicable state license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications must be obtained within the stated timeframes.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be completed within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider and documents care in the medical record.
• Teaches patients and families about condition, status, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up steps.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures such as diet, exercise, and disease prevention.
• Manages evidence-based practices and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Coordinates and delivers holistic patient treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team.
