Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Neptune City, NJ seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced acute setting at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, provide safe medication administration, and participate in education and transition planning. Minimum NJ nursing license, BLS/CPR, ACLS, and 2 years critical care or ED experience required. Comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS required.
• 2 years of critical care or ED nursing experience required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus are all required.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies and standards of care to provide safe and excellent patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and treatment plans.
• Medication administration utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery of medications.
• Ongoing Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments, plan-of-care, interventions and evaluation.
• Patient and family centered education aimed at optimizing health and disease management.
• Multi-disciplinary discharging of patients to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.
