Job summary

Frederick Health Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process, lead and teach team members, and participate in quality improvement activities.

The role requires adherence to regulatory standards and FH policies with a focus on compassionate, evidence-based patient care. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, document thoroughly, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assess biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, discharge planning per nursing standards
• Identify patient needs and prioritize treatment; document changes
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments per organizational standards
• Anticipate changes in patient condition and respond appropriately
• Develop and execute an individualized care plan with multidisciplinary input
• Organize and prioritize patient care and seek assistance when needed
• Participate in developing and following standards of care
• Implement care plans in accordance with policies and standards
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families; integrate discharge planning into teaching
• Support less experienced staff with teaching and mentorship
• Demonstrate accountability and adherence to professional standards
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance and department policies
• Float to other units as needed and promote positive team dynamics
