Qualifications

• English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing preferred; associate/diploma acceptable.
• Current RN license with appropriate state certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation) using evidence based practice.
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care reflecting cultural diversity.
• Partner with patients and families using bedside shift reports, rounds, and teaching.
• Follow state nurse practice acts, scope of practice and ANA Code of Ethics.
• Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care; foster an inclusive environment.
• Participate in performance improvement, research utilization and governance activities.
• Complete competency assessments and mandatory education; mentor other staff and students.
• Promote evidence-based practice and participate in data collection and clinical questions.
• Plan patient care across the continuum; develop protocols to reduce readmissions and adverse events.
• Use resources efficiently and perform other duties as assigned.
