Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for ICU/CCU care on a PRN basis. You will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

The RN will teach patients and families, document care, and participate in evidence-based practice to improve outcomes. Required are an RN license, Associate Degree, and 1 year of critical care experience, plus ACLS, BCLS, and NIH Stroke Scale within

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• RN license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Associate Degree required.
• 1 year RN experience in a critical care setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about condition, status, and treatment plan; explains meds and side effects.
• Provides patient/family education on follow-up measures and lifestyle changes for self-management.
• Collaborates with the care team to coordinate and deliver a holistic treatment plan.
