Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland in Pearland, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse in the ICU to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team. The RN will follow nursing models, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes and patient experience.

Qualifications include RN license, ACLS/BCLS within 30 days, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, and 1 year of acute care RN experience; ADN or BSN

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing (RN)
• ACLS, BCLS, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• 1 year RN experience in an acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Documents care in the patient medical record in a timely, thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families about condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects and follow-up measures.
• Translates medical terminology to ensure understanding.
• Participates in evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes.
