Job summary

Capital Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse to support pulmonary and cardiac diagnostic testing. The role requires independent nursing care, patient assessment, and supervision of procedures, with pharmacological agent administration as needed.

Minimum qualifications include an associates degree in nursing and two years of critical care or cardiopulmonary experience, with mandatory BLS and NJ RN credentials. Eligible for full-time hourly pay in the listed range.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates degree or graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: Two years critical care or cardiopulmonary assessment.
• Credentials: AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, RN - NJ.
• Certifications: TNCC/8h Trauma CNE if ICU/ED assignment; NIH Stroke Scale; ACLS; NRP; PALS as required.
• Knowledge: Performs independently; assists with cardiac and pulmonary testing.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history and records, prepare patient for pulmonary or cardiac diagnostic testing.
• Assess patient condition by interview, exam, and monitoring.
• Perform nursing functions related to procedures and assist physician.
• Assist with cardiac stress testing and pulmonary testing with pharmacological agents.
• Document and communicate patient status; discharge planning and teaching.
• Collaborate with case manager and treatment team on care alternatives.
