Job summary

Capital Health in New Jersey seeks an experienced registered nurse for pre-procedure and during-procedure support in pulmonary and cardiac testing. The role requires two years of critical care experience, IV skills, and dysrhythmia recognition.

The nurse will assist physicians, monitor patients, document care, and collaborate with case managers to plan discharge and educate families for at-home care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years critical care experience or training including cardiopulmonary assessment, IV insertion, cardioversion, and advanced dysrhythmia recognition.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers and NJ RN license are required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical history and records and prepares patients for pulmonary or cardiac diagnostic testing.
• Assists physician during procedures and monitors patient status throughout testing.
• Performs nursing functions, documents, and maintains sterile environment during procedures.
• Coordinates with case management and discharge planning; educates patient and family for post-procedure care.
