Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, at MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick in Ohio. The role involves 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays, in a 14-bed unit offering advanced telemetry and bedside procedures support.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS certifications, plus 1 year of RN experience for PRN.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West.
• Monitor and interpret patient status with telemetry.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, PT/OT.
• Maintain critical thinking and time management in a high-acuity setting.
