Job summary

Phoenix Specialty Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide cardiopulmonary services to adult and geriatric patients under a physician's orders. You will assess patients, develop respiratory care plans, and document progress throughout the stay.

The role involves performing bronchial hygiene therapies, oxygen delivery methods, and ventilation management with teamwork across disciplines. Licensure and advanced certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.
• Current AZ Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• NBRC credential as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and records per hospital policy.
• Manages invasive and non-invasive ventilation and associated alarms.
• Performs airway care, suctioning, and tracheostomy care as ordered.
• Responds to medical emergencies (Code Blue) and assists with procedures.
• Maintains complete, accurate documentation in the EHR and patient flow sheets.
