Job summary

Mercyhealth seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join the ICU/medical-surgical teams in a full-time day shift. You will initiate and monitor ventilation, assess patients, and document treatments in the electronic medical record.

Responsibilities include operating ventilators, providing oxygen therapy, and collaborating with the care team while following code and safety protocols. Licensing and certifications must be current.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Minimum 1 year respiratory experience required, 6 months critical care.
• IL and/or WI Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• CPR and NRP within 90 days of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine therapies to treat cardiopulmonary status.
• Initiate, monitor, evaluate, and wean invasive/non-invasive ventilation.
• Document in EMR and departmental records.
