Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to administer diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to facilitate the patient’s breathing. The role may serve as charge therapist in the absence of management, with responsibilities spanning from airway management to mechanical ventilation support.

The position emphasizes patient safety, collaboration with physicians and advanced practitioners, and compliance with high reliability standards within the Home Care department.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (Required) for Respiratory Care.
• NBRC-RRT registry.
• Ohio license (Limited Permit acceptable).
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains records and communicates information.
• Administers MDI, nebulization, ventilation, oxygen therapy, and related treatments; observes patient responses.
• Prepares for treatment by reviewing orders, gathering materials, and explaining procedures to patient.
• Maintains airway management and performs intubation if required per policy.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in trauma and resuscitation procedures.
