Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) - State Board of Healing Arts upon Hire.
• CPR/AED/ BLS - Upon Hire.
• ACLS - American Heart Association within 120 Days
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 120 Days
• NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics within 120 Days

Responsibilities

• Consistently meets work schedule.
• Performs initial and follow-up assessments pertaining to respiratory care with skill.
• Evaluate patient's response to prescribed therapy in an on-going manner and communicates information to medical staff.
• Demonstrates proficiency in care and management of patients receiving mechanical ventilation.
• Demonstrates proficiency in administration of physician-prescribed aerosol medication therapy and oxygen therapy.
• Assists physician with diagnostic procedures and maintains quality in blood gas analysis.
