Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II for FT Nights to deliver specialized respiratory care in critical care units. The RT II will administer medications, manage ventilators, perform ABG analysis, and educate patients and staff.

Applicants should have an accredited program credential, an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred), 0-2 years of related experience, and required licenses including RRT and CPR certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program with science hours.
• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist and Respiratory Care Professional credentials.
• Life support certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care with education in critical care areas.
• Administer medications and monitor patient response.
• Perform ventilator management, weaning, and ABG analysis.
• Uphold safety, documentation, and quality care standards.
• Mentor staff and participate in education of new employees.
