Job summary

Atlantic Health seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care and life support under physician supervision. Duties include evaluating patient condition, administering therapy, operating ventilators, and monitoring responses. Requires active NJ license and NBRC RRT certification within 1 year, BLS/ALS as applicable.

Experience with PFT studies is highly preferred. Strong team collaboration and charting proficiency in EPIC are valued.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree in respiratory therapy is required
• 1+ years of respiratory care experience; critical care preferred
• Experience with PFT studies and EPIC charting is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prescriptions and arterial blood gases to determine therapy type and duration
• Administer aerosol medications and position patients to aid breathing
• Set up and operate ventilators and other respiratory support devices
• Monitor patient responses: vital signs, ABGs, and blood chemistry
• Observe equipment function and adjust settings for safe, effective therapy
• Provide patient education and assist in pulmonary rehabilitation and exercises
