Job summary

PeaceHealth in Bellingham, WA seeks a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time, 0.90 FTE, variable position. The role entails comprehensive respiratory care across diagnostic testing, therapy, and critical care support, in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Accredited program required: 2-year AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program or equivalent per state rules.
• Must pass NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist exam within 6 months of hire.
• Prefer experience in acute care, pulmonary labs, ICU, pediatrics, or obstetrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care including diagnostic tests, oxygen/med delivery, bronchial hygiene, ABG draw/analysis, advanced airway, and life support.
• Assess patient status by monitoring labs, hemodynamics, and radiology findings; plan/implement/evaluate care.
• Calibrate, clean, set up, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; assemble and store equipment.
