Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks an experienced Critical Care Pharmacist to join the acute care pharmacy team. The specialist will provide expert pharmacotherapy management for critically ill ICU patients and contribute to consultative services across sepsis, shock, and antimicrobial stewardship.

They will lead initiatives, support quality improvement, and educate residents and staff. The role involves rounding with the ICU team, optimizing therapy, and participating in emergency response

Qualifications

• Must complete PGY1 and PGY2 residencies from an ASHP-accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years progressive clinical practice within a specialty.
• Bachelor’s Degree of Science or PharmD from ACPE-accredited school.
• PharmD degree from ACPE-accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Perform ICU rounding with interdisciplinary team to optimize medication therapy.
• Support sepsis, shock, respiratory failure, and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.
• Lead quality improvement efforts and participate in departmental projects.
• Educate pharmacy colleagues, providers, patients, and learners; precept residents/students.
• Contribute to cost savings initiatives, process improvements, and P&T activities.
