Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak seeks a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to staff the Medical ICU and oversee medication management. You will verify orders, monitor therapies, and educate patients and families on medications, contributing to safety and outcomes.

The role emphasizes clinical leadership, precepting students, and developing critical care education while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve institutional objectives.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's Degree or Pharm.D. in pharmacy.
• Preferred residency training.
• 3 years of relevant experience as a clinical pharmacist or residency/fellowship preferred.
• LIC-Clinical Pharmacist in Michigan or eligible to obtain Upon Hire.
• LIC-Pharmacist Controlled Substance in Michigan or eligible to obtain Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Staff clinically in areas supporting Medical ICU teams; 90% on site with 10% remote possible.
• Act as clinical content expert for critical care initiatives.
• Precept pharmacy students and residents.
• Create educational content on critical care topics.
• Participate in research and lead cost-savings projects.
• Promote safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapy.
