Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Critical Care to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care to ICU patients, participate in formulary management, and develop care policies. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the pharmacy team to optimize therapy, ensure safety, and support nutrition and anticoagulation programs.

Qualifications

Pharmacy degree required; Doctorate preferred.
Active Georgia Pharmacist license or ability to obtain within 180 days.
Minimum 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience or PGY-1/PGY-2 in Critical Care or Emergency Medicine.
Experience with nutrition support, anticoagulation management, and pharmacokinetics is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation, or PN therapy as ordered by the provider.
Document clinical interventions and round with interdisciplinary teams.
Assist in formulary maintenance and development of therapeutic interchanges.
Develop and implement drug policies and procedures; ensure regulatory compliance.
Deliver educational programs and serve as a preceptor for students and residents.
Provide on-call clinical pharmacy services as needed.
