Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Critical Care to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, formulary management, and policy development for critically ill patients in our Georgia facilities.

You will round with interdisciplinary teams, lead antimicrobial stewardship, and support nutrition, anticoagulation, and pharmacokinetics under provider orders. Education, precepting, and committee participation are integral parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license with active status (RPH) required or eligible for licensure
• Board Certification preferred (e.g., BCPS)
• Georgia Pharmacist License within 180 days
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience or PGY-1 residency; or 2 years CC/EM with PGY2 in CC/EM preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, formulary management, and policy development.
• Round with interdisciplinary teams and participate in committees.
• Lead antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacokinetics activities.
• Assist in regulatory compliance and quality initiatives (e.g., Joint Commission).
• Develop educational programs for practitioners and patients; precept students and residents.
• Support nutrition, anticoagulation, and specialized medication regimens as prescribed
