UNM Hospitals is seeking a critical care paramedic to provide direct patient care under the Lifeguard Medical Director while following New Mexico EMS protocols. The role involves high-skill procedures, team collaboration with RNs and medical leadership, and adherence to safety standards.

Applicants should have multiple paramedic credentials, substantial pre-hospital experience, and be prepared for rotating shifts. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available to successful candidates.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical training preferred.
• 3 years or 5000 hours Pre-Hospital 911 service, or 2 years Pre-Hospital 911 and 1 year in acute care setting for 5,000 hours clinical practice as a paramedic.
• 4 years and 6,000 hours Pre-Hospital 911 service, or 3 years Pre-Hospital 911 and 1 year acute care experience for 6,000 hours clinical practice as a paramedic.
• Bonus credentials include bilingual abilities in English/Spanish or related languages.

Responsabilidades

• Provide advanced life support including airway management and invasive procedures within scope of practice.
• Assess patient condition and collaborate with RN team to plan care.
• Document all patient care using Lifeguard PCR and EMR systems.
• Communicate patient information with healthcare providers involved in transport and care.
• Support patient safety by following policies and reporting safety concerns.
• Perform duties requiring travel to various sites and possible on-call shifts.
