Job summary

Bozeman Health seeks a skilled Paramedic for interfacility transport to deliver advanced and critical care from initial contact to handoff at the accepting facility. You will work with the Transport RN under Montana scope and Bozeman Health protocols, ensuring patient safety and effective communication.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer meds, manage airways, and maintain readiness of equipment while documenting care and coordinating with dispatch and receiving teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited paramedic program.
• Current Montana paramedic license or CC paramedic license.
• NRP certification.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• PHTLS or plan to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the RN partner to plan and deliver advanced/critical care per protocol.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, interpret diagnostics, and reassess patient status.
• Administer medications, manage airways, provide ventilatory support.
• Load, secure, and monitor patients and equipment for transport.
• Communicate with dispatch and receiving facilities; concise handoffs.
• Complete ePCR and transport documentation; ensure quality reporting.
• Maintain ambulance and equipment readiness; document deficiencies.
• Monitor weather/road conditions; conduct risk assessments.
• Participate in QA/QI activities and ongoing education.
• Serve as a clinical resource and provide professional customer service.
