Job summary

Trinity Health in Illinois is seeking a part-time Critical Care Paramedic to provide advanced pre-hospital and hospital care, including airway management and medication administration, across all ages. Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of Critical Care Paramedic scope and regulatory requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Paramedic certification for IL/Iowa or RN exemption per role; Genesis Market rules apply.
• Iowa/Illinois certification within 120 days of hire or transfer if applicable.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; PHTLS/AMLS preferred.
• EVOC within 1 year of hire; NVCI within 6 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers timely and effective critical care paramedic care in diverse settings.
• Responds to ambulance calls and documents care per protocol and records.
• Assists in Emergency Department with airway management and medications.
• Provide age-appropriate care across all ages; maintain safety and equipment.
• Perform vehicle checks, restock, clean, and document post-call actions.
• Precept EMTs, Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics; mentor students and staff.
• Maintain professional image and participate in safety and education programs.
