Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Manchester Memorial Hospital seeks a critical care physician assistant to join a collaborative ICU team. You will perform rounds, assess patients, and work with intensivists to manage complex critical care cases in a high-acuity unit.

Responsibilities

• Under established guidelines and in collaboration with the practice physician(s), physician assistants perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
• In consultation with the physician(s) and care team, develop plans for further evaluation and referrals to other health team members or specialists.
• Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of practice and refer to a physician as needed.
