Mount Carmel Health System is hiring a Nurse Educator for the Day Shift on a full-time basis in Ohio. The educator will lead education for patients, families, staff and physicians within the framework of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, supporting institutional initiatives in patient care.

The role involves assessing learning needs, developing educational programs, and ensuring materials are accessible and culturally sensitive across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio; Professional certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in area of specialization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses learning needs of associates to plan, organize, and participate in development of teaching programs.
• Acts as a resource for staff on critical thinking, equipment use, and clinical problem solving.
• Develops and updates standards of care, policies, and guidelines to reflect evidence-based practice.
• Develops patient education materials across formats to support diverse patient populations.
• Develops education plans.
