St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to elevate critical care nursing through education, competency development, and integration of evidence-based practice. The role focuses on staff readiness, performance improvement, and ongoing residency-oriented education.

The educator will use a novice-to-expert model to ensure new graduates are oriented and competent by the end of their residency, with emphasis on clinical skills and research incorporation.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of nursing experience required, with at least 3 years in Critical Care.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• State license required; national certification required; BLS and ACLS required.

Responsabilités

• Assesses educational opportunities and coordinates resources to meet patient care goals.
• Provides clinical experiences to develop nursing process, critical thinking, and skills.
• Demonstrates change management to influence clinical practice.
• Provides feedback for annual and probationary reviews and maintains certification competency.
• Promotes collaboration with staff and physicians to apply standards of care.
• Contributes to nursing care plans in consultation with RNs and families.
• Delivers structured competency-based experiences for new graduates and tracks progress.
