Job summary

The ICU Advanced Practice Provider (APP) role at MUSC is a central member of the ICU team, coordinating care with surgical and medical specialty services and directing discharge planning to the next level of care. The APP performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and helps ensure protocol compliance and patient safety.

Qualified candidates will have completed an accredited PA or NP program and be licensed or licensed-eligible; 2+ years of NP or PA-C experience is preferred, with ACLS/BLS

Qualifications

• 2+ years NP or PA-C experience preferred.
• Acute care training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes comprehensive history and performs exams.
• Performs and coordinates diagnostic/therapeutic procedures as permitted.
• Initiates referrals and collaborates with attending physician.
• Participates in quality improvement and education initiatives.
