Job summary

Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, AL, seeks a Medical ICU RN at 7A to supervise and coordinate nursing staff during the first shift, including weekends and holidays, ensuring quality and continuity of patient care. The RN will use the nursing process for assessments, planning, and interventions, collaborating with physicians and clinicians in care planning.

The role requires a nursing degree, active RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, or other certifications may be required

Qualifications

• Requires RN licensure and active BLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc. may be required depending on unit.
• Strong observation, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide general supervision and coordination of nursing staff on shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Ensure quality and continuity of patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in planning and implementing patient care.
• Perform additional duties within scope as assigned.
