Qualifications

• Current Paramedic certification in Connecticut is required; National Registry preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred and certifications kept current.
• CPR and advanced airway skills required and ongoing education completed within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide care using pediatric critical care transport protocols from first contact to transfer of care.
• Maintain competency through ongoing clinical experiences and education; communicate needs to managers.
• Collaborate as a clinical team member within the Children's ED transport workflow.
• Hold and maintain certification in the critical care transport field.
• Coordinate with transport team to ensure safe patient handoff.
