Experience

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Critical Care Float Pool experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements

• Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health.

Additional Details

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details

Overflow ICU float pool caring for general SICU, MICU overflow, Neuro ICU overflow, vascular overflow, trauma overflow, and thoracic overflow patients.Procedures/care include EGD, Bronch, Swann, and traction.

Shift & Scheduling

A/P rotating with day shifts 07:00 - 19:30 and night shifts 19:00 - 07:30. Every other weekend. Holidays as needed. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.

Floating Requirements

Critical care float pool nurses are assigned out of the staffing office and may float to MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, CVSICU, IMC units, and ED/PACU to care for ICU/IMC boarders across the house.

7 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
