Experience:

12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

2 years of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

3 months of travel experience is required.

Experience with Cerner is preferred.

BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission).

This role will require floating to multiple units

Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:1 previous travel assignment required.Travelers will be held strictly accountable for alarm management.

Preferred Skills/Experience:Previous Charge Experience: PreferredTeaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials:You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending.

Special Requests:Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this.You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure.

Unit Details:Overflow MICU/SICU with general SICU, MICU overflow, Neuro ICU overflow, vascular overflow, trauma overflow, and thoracic overflow patient populations.Procedures include EGD, bronch, Swann, and traction.

Shift & Scheduling:Variable day/night 3x12 shifts: 07:00-19:30 or 19:00-07:30.Every other weekend. Holidays as needed. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.

Floating Requirements:May be assigned to MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, CVSICU, IMC units, and ED/PACU to care for ICU/IMC boarders across the house.

7 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
