Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Critical Care Float Pool experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health.

Additional Details:

Unit DetailsOverflow MICU/SICU.Procedures and unit details include EGD, bronchoscopy, Swann, and traction.Patient population includes general SICU and MICU, Neuro ICU, vascular, trauma, and thoracic overflow.

Shift & SchedulingVariable 12-hour shifts: 07:00-19:30 or 19:00-07:30.Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.Every other weekend.Holidays as needed.

Floating RequirementsCritical care float pool nurses are assigned out of the staffing office and may be assigned to MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, CVSICU, IMC units, and ED/PACU to care for ICU/IMC boarders across the house.

7 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
