Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Float Pool in a part-time role. You will provide direct patient care in high-acuity settings and support a collaborative team responsible for optimal patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes clinical expertise, patient/family education, and accurate record-keeping. Florida RN licensure, BSN preferred, and relevant certifications are required to ensure top-tier care.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or eligible compact license with active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification (6-month grace period).
• Current NIHSS required (6 months grace period).
• Certifications: CCRN/ONC/PCCN/CMSRN/other critical care credentials.
• Excellent reading, communication, and documentation skills; proficient PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Critical Care level patients.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records and post tests/exam results.
• Administer medications according to physician orders.
