Job summary

Sierra View Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, hygiene, comfort, nutrition support, and assisting with procedures in a hospital setting.

The position requires California CNA licensure, BLS certification, and the ability to work varied shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends. Strong teamwork and adherence to safety policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain current licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) in California.
• Must have and maintain BLS card, required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Cooperates in team planning and execution of care tasks.
• Interprets patient information and plans care accordingly.
• Transports patients between units and departments.
• Assists with ambulation and positioning using safe body mechanics.
• Assists with basic care needs (feeding, bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.).
• Assists with dietary needs and documents intake.
• Provides equipment and supplies for patient care as directed.
• Obtains, prepares and transports specimens to Lab with proper slips.
• Monitors and documents patient care and reports changes to R.N.
• Performs unit-specific duties and supports record-keeping.
• Identifies and anticipates patient needs.
• Communicates with Nurse and documents pertinent information.
• Adheres to Joint Commission safety goals.
• Maintains compliance with Hospital policies.
