Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Needham, MA is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the ICU to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will work with intensivists, surgeons, hospitalists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to assess, admit, stabilize, and manage critically ill patients, document in the EMR, and participate in daily rounds and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and completion of either a PA or NP program required.
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 0–1 years related ICU experience required.
• Strong analytical and information integration abilities.
• Proficient computer skills including web-based apps and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assess, admit, stabilize, and manage critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Partner with Intensivists and multidisciplinary teams for care plans.
• Document care activities in the EMR and communicate findings to the team.
• Enter ICU admission orders and participate in daily rounds.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals as needed.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout care.
