Job summary

Lifeline Connections is seeking a Crisis Wellness Center Peer Counselor (ITA and CTS) to provide peer support and guided recovery activities within our crisis program. You will use WRAP, de-escalation techniques, and person-centered planning to empower participants and connect them with services.

Applicants should have personal experience with mental illness, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Personal experience with mental illness as a consumer of services.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
• Certified Peer Counselor credential required or obtainable.
• Ability to obtain WA state credentials and needed permits within timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support and guidance to participants to encourage recovery.
• Participate in de-escalation and interventions to maintain safety.
• Serve as mentor to promote hope and empowerment.
• Partner with participants to explain service options and care processes.
• Assist in admission orientation and rights information.
• Run WRAP-based groups and document activities and progress.
• Assist with daily program operations and room/area safety checks.
• Act as liaison to consumer-run programs and community resources.
• Support infection control and life skills development in daily activities.
