Job summary

Elwyn seeks a Certified Peer Specialist to provide outreach to individuals in crisis, coordinating with Mobile Crisis and medical staff. The CPS engages in trauma-informed crisis response, referrals, and linking individuals to services to support immediate and long-term needs.

Responsibilities include peer counseling, WRAP development, mentoring, and documentation in medical records, while upholding ethics and rights of persons served. CPR and flexible hours apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred in human services.
• Current CPS certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent judgment with the ability to solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer counseling and support to individuals in recovery.
• Develop and adjust Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP).
• Mentor individuals to promote empowerment and employment skills.
• Participate in staff meetings and treatment planning reviews; document progress.
• Adhere to ethics and crisis intervention protocols; CPR as required.
