Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a per diem Transfer Center Mental Health Counselor to ensure timely bed placement and smooth intake for patients. You will triage intake and transfer calls, conduct ASAM screenings, liaise with hospital emergency rooms and referral partners, and coordinate with programs to support admission and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 1+ year related experience.

Responsibilities

• Triage referrals and manage intake in EMR.
• Answer phones; provide initial assessment.
• Ensure referral information is complete.
• Conduct ASAM screenings for service seekers.
• Liaise with hospital ERs and referral partners.
