Job summary

Deschutes County Health Services in Bend, Oregon seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist I to join a multi-disciplinary team providing crisis services and case management for individuals and families in need at the Stabilization Center.

The role involves night shifts (Sun–Wed) with hours to be determined, crisis screenings, and coordination with QMHPs and community partners to ensure safe crisis placements and access to entitlements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a behavioral sciences field or equivalent.
• Registration/certification requirements under MHACBO for QMHA when applicable.
• Ability to work in a 24-hour crisis setting and coordinate with partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis assessments and services to individuals and families in crisis.
• Deliver mental health and case management care at the respite unit.
• Coordinate with hospitals, emergency services and other partners.
• Collaborate within the crisis team to ensure seamless 24-hour coverage.
• Respond to community calls as part of a multidisciplinary team.
