Job summary

Helen Ross McNabb Center in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Crisis Stabilization Unit RN to provide direct medical care on a 12-hour rotating schedule in a 24/7 CSU. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to assess and treat clients in crisis and coordinate with Mobile Crisis and the Walk-In Center.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license (Associate or Bachelor) in Tennessee, with psychiatric nursing and acute care experience preferred, and strong clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor RN degree from an accredited college.
• TN RN license with ability to practice.
• Experience in psychiatric nursing and acute care preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and exercise clinical judgment under pressure.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial admission nursing assessment and paperwork.
• Administer medications and provide staff coverage as needed.
• Monitor client vital signs and respond to changes during shifts.
• Coordinate with Mobile Crisis and Walk-In Center for admissions.
• Complete C-SSRS and chart documentation per policy.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and maintain shift coverage.
